Located at 5 Stone Street in the Village of Cold Spring, the Hub provides Philipstown residents with a place within our community to access programs, services and education related to mental health and addiction. We encourage all members of the community to stop in and learn more about the Hub.
Through the Hub, Philipstown residents can access:
The Hub runs parenting programs that assist and support parents trying to figure out the best ways to support their children as they advance through various life stages and changes, or struggle with mental health and addiction issues.
Throughout the year, the Hub hosts Mental Health First Aid Sessions for the general public and for specific groups like teachers, first responders and others. These classes, which are run by a licensed and certified Master social worker, teach non-professionals to identify the signs and symptoms of mental health distress. These sessions save lives by empowering members of our community to look out for each other.
One of the Hub’s main missions is to educate the community about issues of mental health and addiction.
Within the community, the Hub partners with local school districts to provide in-school prevention programs, and classes for students at the Hub’s office. The Hub will also partner with local emergency responders to jointly develop awareness campaigns that will use statistics on mental health and addiction to shine a spotlight on these issues with school groups and the entire Philipstown community.
