Automobile Accident - Route 9D @ The Garrison School |

On a rainy night, the Garrison Volunteer Fire Company was called for an automobile accident with possible extrication.
Upon arrival, the Chief confirmed the automobile accident was a two car, head on collision, which was blocking the road in both directions.
Extrication of the occupants of both vehicles was not needed.
The first unit on scene stabilized the vehicles and assisted the EMTs with getting the drivers onto stretchers.
The GVFC fire police closed route 9 going north and the Cold Spring FD closed the road going south.
One driver was taken to Hudson Valley Hospital in Peekskill and the second was taken to Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
After the tow company cleared the debris from the road and removed the vehicles, all units were put back into service.
