The Garrison Volunteer Fire Company is located in Garrison, New York. We are a volunteer fire company serving the Garrison Fire Protection District in the Town of Philipstown. The district covers about 18 square miles and is primarily rural in nature - with numerous estates and multi million dollar homes. The majority of the land in Garrison is off the tax roles, being owned by religious organizations, the State of New York, and numerous land trusts. This leaves the remaining members of the community to financially support our organization through property taxes. Our current contract with the Town of Philipstown is $719,879 and this includes funds paid by the Town toward a Service Awards Program that was approved by the taxpayers in 1996.
We continue to seek new volunteers and look to new ways of providing rapid, professional emergency services to the community.
